Another of the greatest generation passes tonight...

  • No matter where they served. Those who were here on the home front or who were far from combat zones were still doing an important job.

    With the disrespect some are giving to former President Reagan's service in the Army making training films it unfortunately seems necessary to say this.

    My grandfather re-enlisted in the Navy the day after Pearl Harbor. He spent most of the war patroling the Pacific Coast, the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and Puget Sound.
  • Sorry to hear about it. I just have to say that I have so much respect for people of that generation [born 1900-1935ish(so it's not really a generation), as I have been able to meet and talk to them and not read it from a book]. So sorry . When my Grandpa passes on I'm gonna be a wreck for a Loooong time.
