  • I think you meant quite loooonggg :D You're right about it being a good read though. It makes me wanna like Kerry and I don't like Dems. Well come to think of it I really don't like a lot of politicians :P Heck with it I'm going with the sig I keep seeing and voting for Cthulhu.
  • I'm 30% the way through (well...maybe 40%. It's hard to convert the visual bar to a number... 'spechially after 2 boddingtons [boddingtons.com] (I'm moving on the McEwans after this one...its hard to get the temperature right on them Boddingtons))

It helps to cut through the FUD that Kerry is wishy-washy and mealy-mouthed. However, dollars to donuts thats the angle that the Republicans should take. "our candidate may be crazy as a shit house rat, but at least he's a single-minded prick who sees everything in Black and Whit

      • Hence why I phrased it as a look inside the Kerry camp. This piece is pretty much Kerry as he wants to present himself.

If you want a more balanced look a group of Boston journalists recently released a book about him. Of course that's like 20 times as long, easily.

Alternatively, you can watch News Hour and C-Span.
  • That was very interesting. I didn't know a lot of that stuff. It helped to clarify my differences with Kerry (I'm a pacifist, he's not), as well as to make me much more comfortable supporting him.

Several things I like about Kerry, even though I disagree with him on principle: he's a real person (unlike his opponent, who is a ventriloquist's dummy, he might actually make some of his own decisions), he's a bona-fide hero, he's clearly very intelligent (how can any geek support an obvious idiot like Bush?),

  • I'll read the article later, and I'm probably going to vote Kerry anyway, but I just don't feel comfortable voting for someone that has participated in mutual masterbation in a coffin with George W Bush.
