Slashdot isn't a Linux site, nor does it claim to be. Google "Linux news", you wont find slashdot near the top of the list. Even CowboyNeil, an editor for slashdot, is a mac fan; check out his web site. This site is about "news for nerds, stuff that matters", which covers just about anything.
