It comes back to convergence... (Score 1)

As mentioned above, convergence will soon allow us to use the traditional media forms in new ways. When I wait and watch the Weather Channel for my "local forecast" I just about go postal. I don't care what tomorrow's highs will be in Banya Luka! Who has the time to wait through all that verbage?! One day soon I'll be able to turn on the telly and fire up my remote and call up exactly what I want. The device might be a combination net/cable feed/computer, or something similar to a hotel TV system. I'll be able to call up the local forecast realtime, view any movie on demand, etc. etc. - the TV is just too large a revenue stream not to be exploited and touted as a new solution. This is not your father's WebTV.
