Most times it CAN'T be upgraded depending upon what machines it runs or software that isn't upgraded to Windows 11. Worked for a company that had those issues. We had a large autoclave to sterilize filling equipment for vaccines. It ran on DOS and couldn't be upgraded. Other machinery on Windows 10 couldn't either. An integrated controller went bad, manufacturer no longer made it, they had to buy one off Ebay and it took 4-5 days to install software on it to get it running right. Company lost $3-4 million in lost production.
