bryanthompson's Journal: Firefox 1.5.08 Download

FF2 sucks... after wasting some time trying the broken links on the previous releases page for firefox, I guessed the link and was able to download 1.5.08. Here's the link for anyone else sick of ff2's random crashes on os x:

I've had the opposite experience under Windows and Linux.

FF2 seems to be showing less evidence of memory leaks and is less prone to crashing, locking up, or sucking down all of the cpu.

I've been using FF2 under OS X and Windows, and I like it a lot. The only reason I haven't put it on Linux yet is because I haven't had time to install it. I may get to it this week, maybe tomorrow.

Thanks, I'll give some of those a try. After a little more digging, I think the WebDeveloper plugin I'm using might be the root of my problem, though. I was using it to edit CSS on some hugely massive pages, so I bet it just kept choking on that.
