I live in CO now, so anytime I see my old VA area code calling my cell phone that isn't in my address book, I at least don't get tricked... but it's annoying getting one or two of those a day and you're in the middle of something and ring ring some spoofed number again. Seems to be happening everywhere! >:(

But I definitely trimmed my friend's list and go on there maybe once a month to make sure someone's not reaching out to me. That's what it's actually good for. Not daily faking of a good life while making others feel bad and depressed while FB gets all the money and compiles some insane predictive database. :D I figure they already got most of that so if I just stay inactive they can't get much more.

What, like taking payments, restarting / starting service and changing address etc? Not too many calls in your average call center are that advanced. It could really help with large events by giving something a little more interactive than a blanket announcement and at least creating a basic ticket for humans.

That get totally sold on the Cloud, instead of getting a decent infrastructure in place. I've worked at a few places with horrid CRM / Salesforce integration because they'll buy the software and then implement it with cheap coders from India / the Philippines. At the current company I'm at, we had a much better implementation of HPNA and now because of "cost savings" and other factors, like probably some executive being treated to a strip club, we are switching to NCM, which has a Java based front end, lol. Instead of going through putty and figuring things out within a minute, you have to spend a good 3-4 minutes at least going through that clunky piece of crap.

What are you supposed to break up and how will it help anything? Instagram and FB as two entities will probably just be even more effective at invading privacy. Working for a company that was a former Bell company... it really doesn't matter. We have a big huge weird metal desk in our courtyard that's AT&T's and a number of executives were from oldschool AT&T. Breaking a company up really just ends up making the executives more money and makes it harder to account for shenanigans.
