Deze site werkt optimaal met Internet Explorer versie 4.0 en hoger. Indien u gebruik maakt van een lagere versie van Internet Explorer en/of Netscape Navigator, kunt u hieronder de nieuwste versie van Internet Explorer downloaden.

NS heeft wegens incompabiliteit van diverse browsers in de eerste release van de vernieuwde site gekozen voor toegang middels Internet Explorer. In de eerstvolgende release, welke voor januari 2002 gepland staat, wordt bezoek aan de site middels meerdere browsers mogelijk gemaakt.

Because of incompatibility of various browsers, NS (Dutch railways) has chosen to make the new site accessible only to users with Internet Explorer. In the next release, planned for January 2002, the site will be accessible from other browsers as well.
Ok, and it goes on and on about specific functionality, that you need Adobe Acrobat 4 to read PDF's, and special tricks needed to make deep linking working.
But what has this got to do with rolling your own windowing system?
