I'm an athiest (now). I read Mere Christianity with an open mind & heart. It's a good introduction/exploration of Christian thoughts and ideals, with some amazing insight into some parts of the bible we think we all know & understand. Although it didn't "convince" me, it did ultimatly help me come to terms with my own (lack of) faith. It's worth reading, whichever side of the fence you come from.
