There is an excellent database for Linux, that provides very High Performance, and scalability through a proprietary engine called the "Unified Data Architecture". This architecture provides access to the multidimensional engine via ODBC/JDBC/SQL, COM/ACTIVEX/C++,JAVA, etc... The database is called Cache' and can be downloaded for Linux at http://www.e-dbms.com
