The shooter was reported to be wearing body armour so you would need to make a head shot in a smoke filled and very crowded theatre. So assuming you are even able to identify the shooter in the theatre trying to get that head shot with the panicked patrons running around would be difficult to say the least. What's more likely to happen is that everyone with a gun would have started firing at anyone else brandishing a weapon and the body count would be much higher and the gunman would most likely still have survived.

After reading the above I just wanted to scream! All of those things should have been setup to begin with not added after a breach. What they should be doing now is firing all of their admins and hiring some who actually know what they are doing rather than people they found wandering around the local Walmart.

The Sony executives can't have things both ways. They are quick to put themselves forward as the reason for the companies successes so conversly they must also take the blame for the failures. While they weren't the ones who setup the servers they are the ones who hold the overall responsibility for safeguarding our personnal information.

As my Sony equipment has been dying I've been replacing it with non-Sony stuff. I've avoided their music arm ever since the whole root kit debacle and I absolutely refuse to buy the PS3 even though I really, really want to play Slam Bolt Scrappers. I really can't envision a situation where I would buy a Sony product again.

Yes but Mussolini didn't make the trains run on time, he just convinced people that they were. The Italian people knew the trains weren't running on time because they were the ones who were sitting around waiting for them but they still accepted him and to this day the falicy is still quoted. Now the train service did improve remarkebly after the first world war but all of that happened before Mussolini came to power but he still claimed it was thanks to him.

Basically people will believe what the government tells them even when they know it isn't true. Maybe believe is the wrong word but they will accept what they are told even in the face of the obvious.

That's why I drive the Challenger 2. Sure it cost me about $8m an the gas mileage isn't the best (gallons per mile) but hey when that semi doing 200mph just bounces off the side who really cares.
