Try manipulating fontconfig
Add the following to ~/.Xresources or/and ~/.Xdefaults
Xft.hinting:false
Xft.hintstyle:hintnone
This should smooth fonts
Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it is too dark to read.
