I'll focus on the first two absolutes. If you're in the U.S. or Canada, then you're living in a capitalist society. If the wrong thing makes you a buck (or a hundred thousand bucks), you'll be rewarded as if you're doing a good thing. Lines get hazy, and people get screwed about. It's not paranoia to accept this; it's just acknowledging the way of things.
Personally, I'd rather not have my whereabouts tracked without my consent.
