Comment Geeks DON'T have to have geek partners! (Score 1, Funny) 1004
I am lucky enough to have a geek-supporting girlfriend, who despite having absolutely no geek tendencies, supports my love of hacking and fragging.
The joys of a non-geek wife is that you can share your geek knowledge/thoughts/ideas to someone who has a complete blank slate in regards to those things, as opposed to the cliche (but still true) of the constantly arguing Linux-Him, BSD-Her couple.
PS
Despite the fact I hate the movie, try to get your other half to watch 'Swordfish', preferably while alcohol/drug affected. This movie will give them good ideas on how to show their support next time your hacking/fragging (my gf actually suggested the idea a while after seeing the movie, I didn't even consider it, outside of fantasies anyway).
