I remember reading an article back in 1995, or 1996 detailing the "serious security implications" of the then new ActiveX. Can't say I remember the author, or the site it was on. As a demonstration the author wrote an ActiveX control that would reboot your 95/NT box just by clicking on the link in IE. It was scary back then.

So...some guy, that doesn't sound familiar, stopped posting to Usenet 10 years ago...

It's a slashdot story that's basically an episode of Seinfeld...all about nothing. Guess I'll go empty a few bit buckets.

I never thought that the power supply might be linear. I have a feeling it is not. If it is, it has good overload protection, I've grounded it a couple times on accident and it shuts off nicely. I may crack it open one day and see for sure though.
