Why are you under the assumption that education didn't work? It worked exactly as designed. Cutting funding for schooling, increasing higher education fees, the GI bill, anti-intellectualism in general has lead to this point. The less educated the populous the easier they are to control and subvert. Don't teach critical thinking or logic skills, enforce religious doctrine, talk down about educated people, spring up scare tactics of liberal elites and brain washing in schools, deny the facts, create alternate realities. Everything is working as intended.

I couldn't tell you the names of the current popular songs in most markets, but when India has more than 3x the population of the US you don't have to be a rocket scientist to know that a popular song there would have a larger following than a popular song in the west. that's not even bringing K-pop into the mix. Just because we haven't heard of it doesn't mean it isn't vastly more popular than stuff we do hear about.

Two things coward, if a speech costs lives then it isn't free, and as a non-US citizen it's astounding how many how blissfully ignorant or just outright willfully wrong with what they think free speech means. It is about letting you speak out about the government, not about being able to say whatever you want on a private companies website and they have to keep it up. Not to mention this is about a website blocking the governments actions, not the government blocking a websites actions. Which would probably be against free speech. One could argue that blocking the president from posting on websites is a form of free speech anyway. So really if you are against twitter banning trump from posting his content it could be said you are against free speech.

Then the Government did change and costs had to be reined in. So suddenly anyone who had (relatively expensive) HFC internet would not see any improvement and instead be rebranded into a NBN success story. (Indeed, the end-user experience of cable has mostly declined with more drop-outs and less back-haul.) Most people have better than before DSL, but still some kind of (somewhat flaky) synchronous DSL to a "node" somewhere within a kilometer or two of the house. So now we're tens of billions in the hole and everyone's internet is largely similar to before.

This is extremely hyperbolic, If everyone around you has similar internet to before NBN rollout then its obvious you were in an affluent area, not to mention the whole spiel of how the libs had to reign in spending. Never knew going over labors own budget for a superior product was considered reigning it in. My ADSL (A meaning asynchronous, as in Downlink and Uplink speeds weren't the same.) Started at 11Mbps giving me download speeds, via steam for example, of ~1.2MB/s. Those speeds dwindled over a couple of months down to 7Mbps. NBN got connected and I received a sync rate of 99.2Mbps and I was constantly getting download speeds of ~11.5MB/s. Now as happy as I was with this, I was not 100% happy due to knowing that the speeds I should have been receiving before the Liberals, via Murdoch being worried about Foxtel's looming demise, gutted the program to be what it is today. And I was lucky, some people couldn't even get above 25Mbps due to congestion and bad existing copper infrastructure. So from my own experiences, which imo are far more real world than what your experience pertain to be, it would suggest you either live in an affluent area with access to superior infrastructure thus are unable to comprehend what normal everyday Australians have had to deal with or, you like sucking the coalitions dick because again, you live in an affluent area and are thus unable to comprehend what normal everyday Australians have to deal with. Or, you are nothing but a troll who likes to talk shit because you have nothing better to do.

Instead of wanting equal opportunities, you want equal outcomes.

Equal opportunity is a myth. Someone born to an affluent family will have vastly more opportunities compared to someone born below the poverty line. They are born with the best available healthcare, because their parents can afford it. They can go to the better schools, leading to better career prospects and networking. All due to their parents abilities. Straight from the womb they have more opportunities than someone born into poverty. Are you currently happy paying for the emergency services? Paying for the firefighters who are stopping a fire destroy someone else's house? Or paying for the police letting drunk drivers walk away, even though it could be your car or family that gets hit. Stop thinking of taxes as being money stolen from you, the people who led you to believe that make more money from you than the people that it could be helping. Taxes are a way to help society progress as a whole, and at the moment the US needs all the help it can get. Comparatively, to other first world nations, the US ranks low in most indexes for most things. Do you want your country to continue to fail, or do you want it to start improving?
