What's wrong with choice? The real inescapable problem with the TouchPad is the anemic state of the market. There just aren't many apps built for the tablet; the ones that are aren't very good. I agree, webOS is fantastic--especially the multitasking--but beyond that, it's not capable of doing much more than browsing the web using an incredible rudimentary browser.

I don't believe Cyanogen himself was directly involved in this effort, so that would be inaccurate.

Best of all they don't take donations, like some questionable-at-best teams that quickly assembled to port Android in the wake of the fire-sale frenzy. They urge donating to the EFF instead. CyanogenMod are a classy team.

The constant barrage of updates for Firefox is frustrating to say the least. Having to go through the installer every month and have your extensions checked for compatibility and consistently get disabled... it's just not worth it. I switched to Chrome and have progressed through 8 whole versions without ever noticing and without ever having my extensions break. It's divine, and how all software upgrades should be done (in a perfect world).

It's frustrating. I work with jQuery/JavaScript daily. I want to contribute to the Chosen project (Chosen), but it's written in CoffeScript. I can't be bothered to learn coffee script to contribute. So I'm complaining on Slashdot instead.

If they're not required for logging in I always fill the security question answers with a long string of random characters, effectively making them unusable for password recovery.

I think that would more appropriately be worded as "paranoid clients won't touch them". Everyone else will. C'mon, this is the real world, not a classroom or security conference.
