What predictions would you offer? It is easy to disagree, even with things that have past. Find someone whose prognostications have more relevance or insight, then complain. I do realize that he is worshiped, and people “follow” him. That is because most people are stupid, at least for now.

Denver Airport Overrun by Car-Eating Rabbits 278

It turns out the soy-based wire covering on cars built after 2002 is irresistible to rodents. Nobody knows this better than those unlucky enough to park at DIA's Pikes Peak lot. The rabbits surrounding the area have been using the lot as an all-you-can-eat wiring buffet. Looks like it's time to break out The Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch.

Study Finds Most Would Become Supervillians If Given Powers 419

It probably comes as no surprise, but researchers have found that most of us would gladly put on a mask and fight do-gooders if given super powers. From the article: "But power also acts like strong cologne that affects both the wearer and those within smelling distance, Galinsky noted. The person gains an enhanced sense of their importance, and other people may regard them with greater respect as well as extend leniency toward their actions. That combination makes for an easy slide into corruption."

'We want to stay in the business, we intend to stay in the business,' he said. IBM confirmed in a statement that it continues to manufacture the Cell processor for use by Sony in its PlayStation 3. IBM also will continue to invest in Cell as part of its hybrid and multicore chip strategy, Menon said."

Do you work hard to have 10 fingers? Do you work hard to have an able mind? Could it be that you are endowed with an ability to control yourself with food that others aren't? I find it quite hopefull that someday we will not be able to discriminate based on what we think is important. Imagine, dumb people could be smart, short people could grow, skinny people could be bulky, lazy people could be ambitious. The fact is that we should be able to decide our genetic tendancies for ourselves.

TomTom Releases iPhone Navigation App 289

andylim writes "Today TomTom released its long-awaited iPhone app that allows you to use your iPhone 3G and 3GS as a GPS navigation device. Recombu.com tested it out on video this morning and concluded that it works well but if you receive a call while you're driving then the app does cut out — it will restart once you've finished the conversation. The app costs £60 for the UK & Ireland version, £80 for western Europe, £45 for Australia and £60 for the US and Canada."
