One would assume that you would hardcode it so if the user loses his password, he can call the company. And trust me, they WILL lose their password.

One would hope that the password is put somewhere that a firmware flash can change it however.

Or it might even be resold to someone else who doesn't know the password - used equipment exists - and they don't engrave the password on the outside. But sometimes for this 'hidden' password to work, there must be another condition on the equipment to be present - like loopback plugs in place.

I don't see where this is going - I borrow books from my family members to read, go to the library to read, go to used books store to purchase. All of these events had only one original purchase - and I going to have to come up with money because I read someone's original first purchase book???

Get over it already. /end of rant/

From my experiences being around some digging equipment will working for a phone company, this thing is more a figment of someones imagination that real life.
1) I don't see any handles, joysticks, etc for controlling any legs, diggers.
2) If they were going to use a bucket for a leg, they would need some sort of pad or other anti-skid device for digging on pavement - this thing as shown would slide all over on the back of steel buckets.
3) And why add a tire? It looks as if it is only trying to hold it. There is no visible mount.

Cooling, but not real life in my world...

Ericsson Predicts Swift End For Wi-Fi Hotspots 286

mikesd81 writes "Mobile technology group Ericsson is predicting a 'swift end' for Wi-Fi hotspots, according to the PC Pro site. Johan Bergendahl, the company's chief marketing officer, offers this analysis: 'The rapid growth of mobile broadband is set to make Wi-Fi hotspots irrelevant ... Hotspots at places like Starbucks are becoming the telephone boxes of the broadband era. Industry will have to solve the international roaming issue ... Carriers need to work together. It can be as simple as paying 10 euros per day when you are abroad.' He also pointed to a lack of coverage as a potential hindrance to the growth of the technology."
