I understand quite clearly. I just find it funny when people point out how unrealistic a tv show is, especially when it's sci-fi. Of course it's unrealistic.
One of your original points was what kind of Captain would risk his ship time and again for one or two people. So I ask you, realistically, what is the proper course of action for the Captain of starship?
