I say good riddance to the headphone jack. Lightning to headphone adapters are inexpensive. Okay, maybe you can't use your wired headphones while charging your phone, but honestly how often is that necessary? I could be wrong, but I would imagine there is some kind of hub for this. And a tactile home button? I honestly don't see the point. They should have ditched this long ago. Using a virtual button that appears on the screen when you need it would allow for a screen that covers more of the face of the phone. I do agree with you about the wireless charging though.

Other manufacturers were similar. At one time Volvo used a naming convention where the first digit identified the series, the second the number of cylinders and the third the number of doors (e.g. 242 = 4 cyl, 2 door) . Ferrari used the total engine displacement as the first two digits and the number of cylinders as the third (e.g. 308=3.0L, 8 cyl), but complicated things by using the displacement of a single cylinder for 12cyl cars.

I had a similar experience. When the company I work for merged with a competitor we switched from Outlook to Notes. My understanding is this was due to the huge number of Domino applications (4K+) that were in use at the other company. Three years later the whole company is in the middle of a year long project to migrated (back) to Outlook. If you thought Notes sucked on its own you should try it out in a mixed environment where you can only use certain features in Notes and others in Outlook. Its the worst of both worlds!
