First of all, if the claimed performance figures of the electric motor are correct, the company has put together a nice piece of engineering. Unfortunately, the specific power of the motor will not stay constant as one tries to scale up the design for increased mechanical power output. The given outlook to power a B737/A320 class of aircraft is rather optimistic since the power demand of such aircraft is around two magnitudes higher than the current design.
