Glad to see that I have been carefully placed in the "aren't such good techies" basket because I dont run around with a Linux CD as the ultimate solution for every computing problem. Fact is, all tools have a place.
The question was not "do you have an ill-considered opinion on the quality of Microsoft-based technical staff". But I am sure your comments are useful to many other people reading this discussion. It reminded me that being good at computing (HELL, you OBVIOUSLY ARE, you OSS techo-wizard-low-TCO-boi you...) has nothing to do with being able to provide the right solution to a problem (or even a useful opinion).
