At least Amazon is now saying 'Amazon SimpleDB is designed to store relatively small amounts of data and is optimized for fast data access and flexibility in how that data is expressed.' Because at first read it sounds like they are trying to get rid of the need for RDBMSes and DBAs, as I whined about here.
