That's because the majority of the games media (the ones that are under scrutiny) are trying to dictate the conversation. And then you have people like you who've heard "things" without researching the situation and then making uninformed claims like "99% of the #GamerGate" or whatever. There's like a handful of women gamergate is legitimately complaining about and those women are nothing more than professional victims capitalizing on chauvinistic boogeymen.

Incidents like this is what gamergate is all about but sites like Slashdot would have you believe that it's all about crucifying women for no apparent reason.
