Yeah, my home built is nice and reliable, but nothing comes close to the original 1984 128K Mac that my family bought when it first came out and my dad still uses.
Everything on that computer is original and has never been altered, upgraded, or repaired. Hell, the case hasn't even been opened (you need that 2 foot long torx, I think). Even the floppies are the original MacOS 1.0, MacWrite 1.0, and MacPaint 1.0, which, for some odd reason, have never failed (no HD, of course). The keyboard has thumb dents worn in the spacebar and the old, boxy mouse has been polished completely smooth over the years.
When my dad gets pissed off at his iMac, he just goes back the computer that started it all to do his work.
Now that is one reliable computer/OS combination: 20 years of regular use and still going strong.
