Muliple languages is the way to go (Score 2, Interesting)

My boss is confident enough in his staff and himself to be able to pickup and maintain whatever the developers decide to do their job in. Currently I have written C#,Java(JSP/Servlets,J2ME/MIDP, server applications, Blackberry J2ME stuff, Applications), C/C++, Tons of Shell scripts, XML, LaTex, HTML, XML running on Solaris,Windows,FreeBSD,various flavors of Linux. All of which ultimatley connect to either an Informix or Postgresql database of which the host apps are running on an old legacy SCO UNIX system. Whatever does the job best is our motto. Id hate for my boss to walk in and say convert everything to . It would be hell.
