Here's the thing though. TivoHD doesn't work on satellite. Why? Not because of any satellite lockout. It's because Tivo is in bed with the cable companies. So, if this went through to the hypothetical extreme and you couldn't use the satellite DVR/timeshift service that the sat company provides, you would be shit out of luck. If Tivo is going to sue people for stealing sales or patent infringement, they better at least be in the same damn market and providing some kind of serivce. As of right now, they are out of the satellite game all together.

The winning companies will get $500 million and NASA will merely lease them as the need arises. From the article: "NASA hopes the private-sector vehicles can bridge an expected gap between when the space shuttle fleet is grounded in 2010 and the crew exploration vehicle is flying in 2014. A thriving commercial space transportation industry also can offer researchers, and others, opportunities to send payloads into space without relying on NASA's crowded space shuttle schedule or worrying 'that the government will decide next month or next year not to launch,' Griffin said."
Coping with Exam Panic Attacks? 207
UniGirlBot asks: "I am a distinction / high distinction student who normally doesn't have any major levels of stress during exams. Today I managed to have a major panic attack during an exam on databases and ended up leaving the room in tears about halfway through a 3-hour paper. This panic attack was an absolute first for me and I now have to begin the special consideration procedure, which I am grateful exists. For the record, I did study enough and the course was something I enjoyed doing. Does anyone out there have any advice on what I could do stop this from happening again, please?"
