I don't support any rioting, however, I am pretty sure the Trump protests were mostly non-violent as well. The CHOP took over city blocks for a long time with very few going to jail, while Trump riots broke into capital and they are rooting them all out as they should. There is no "good side" above, it's just bad. Please everyone, stop letting your facts be tainted by whether you are red or blue. Evil is evil and should be condemned unanimously. Also, rioters on either side do not represent the vast majority. Anyone intelligent telling you this likely trying to keep a politician or political party in power.

It is kinda strange, since Google mostly helps drive traffic to these sites. The problem is that nobody wants to pay for the content and google is seem as the cash cow. It seems strange to me, but that's what happens when government gets involved. They have to be careful though, because if the bean counters at Google think they are loosing money, the will no longer serve that market.

Possibly the University should reconsider in person learning, however, calling it a police state makes the wrong argument. Employers should be allowed to check that their employees are doing what they say they are doing. Maybe they should just have courage and say no instead of lie. Without checking, it punishes the people who don't lie. Additionally, this could be a health hazard. What happens if there is a fire and they can't account for entire classrooms?

Although I don't think it is communism, it has very similar outcomes. Chinese government censorship of tienaman square is done for the same reason as FB censorship "Stop the steal". It is done for public safety. In china's case, it has the side benefit of keeping the state in power. In FB's case, it has the side benefit of taking out growing competition. I personally don't think any steal took place, however, it's dangerouse to allow this level of censorship and control over narratives. BTW, where was this concern for public safety when Twitter and FB were being used for uprising during the Arab spring?

You must consider both the loss to the Vendors market share and the gain to the consumers in savings. At first glance you might expect that this is a wash, but in actuality it lowers the cost of entry into this technology for small buisness. I would argue that this is likely a gain to the market as a whole.
