For example, at home I have a gaming rig that's just about end-of-life for modern PC games, a gigabit fiber connection, and a GFN server farm only about a hundred miles away. GPU prices are still unreasonably high at the moment, and I've considered signing up for a service like this to play new games on my old pc until component prices settle down.

Sumo Digital (formerly known as Infogrames) does mostly console/handheld ports of other companies' games, licensed-mascot kart racers, and little puzzle games. No big sellers or noteworthy original IP. Is Tencent setting a billion bucks on fire just so they can brag about owning a British company?

Everything else is the consequences of finding valuables while trespassing on private property, and not reporting the find as required by English law.

Reports haven't been good for the (very few) RTX 3XXX cards out in the wild currently. They're probably going to make some big changes before releasing more SKUs.

They are absolutely eaten, but not as fancy steaks-- they're older and tougher, so they're graded lower, and there are fewer slaughter-ready at any given time. They end up in processed stuff like canned soups and hot dogs, pet food, etc.

It's the less-eloquent version of all these top-rated "just switch the entire company to Linux!" comments. They don't use Windows often, so nobody who does is relevant.

There's no way in hell I'm convincing the bosses we should migrate 30 years of custom software and hyper-specialized proprietary databases to a "new" OS.
