As an MS patient myself, I've done a bit of research on the disease. I disagree with your characterization of what MS is. Schwann cells are part of the peripheral nervous system, where MS is primarily a disease of the central nervous system.
Myelin in the central nervous system is provided by oligodendrocytes. I feel that the parent post is inaccurate and misleading.
