Why do we need an explanation for one season? A few years of silence, sure, but weather systems are big, complex things where all sorts of probabalistic matters come into play. It's like demanding an explanation as to why Casey struck out 4x in one game despite his 500+ batting avg. Things that "shouldn't" happen do, all the time. Them's just statistics.

The VAST majority of high profile leaders/CEOs have social media managers or aides for this. They don't tweet; At least not alone. This includes even the young, rad dudes running orgs. It's prepackaged, and calculated. Leading exceptions to this rule include cool young studs like Donald trump and elon musk. Sorry, but social media is exactly as raw as The Backstreet Boys.

Umm, yeah, maybe it's the lack of mobile support that curbs the competitiveness of RSS, or it's the lack of sophisticated AIs spoonfeeding users the exact news they want to hear based on an analysis of their every click aggregated with every click of everyone they regularly associate with on social media. Kinda betting it's the latter.

I'm not sure they're "too honest to cheat", as much as they are unwilling to walk into a bank in broad daylight, with no mask on (obvs) and nothing but their cojones in their hand, and demand all the money in the safe, which is on par with what they've been asked to do. You walk away a scoundrel or a fool.

I hope this inspires a middle road -- either cab companies that aren't living in the 1960's, or ride sharing services that treat their, *ahem*, definitely-not-employees, a bit more like humans. ...or maybe it'll just push self driving car development faster, and none of these pesky humans will matter all that much.

I'm genuinely curious what top notch talent wants to work at Facebook at this point. The platform is a cess pool of vitriol and they've managed to anger both sides of the political aisle. If they aren't paying well above market for talent, I fail to see how they'd draw anyone who knows what they're doing.
