i have read on slashdot, to date.

Almost sounds like some foundation needs to be setup to preserve things that are on the cusp of dissappearing forever -- stuff like: classic UNIX OS and hardware, and the knowhow to operate them, BBS & associated door games and software, 1st gen ANSI and teletex art etc. etc. etc.

I've given it a try. It smells like dog food, worse when cooking, and tastes like crap. It will not survive. The tofu stuff they were making in the 90's tasted better
