The Natrium is a sodium-cooled fast reactor. This is one of the few next gen nuclear projects that has the potential to scale. Check out this video on the integral fast reactor. The Natrium reactor was heavily influenced by the Experimental Breeder Reactor 2 shown in that video.

The cost per kWh is much lower for French electricity than German. So it must have brought costs downs somewhat.

German emissions are at 283 after spending 500 billion euros and 15 years. That's failure. Compare that with France at 19. It's also clear that only building solar, wind and storage is much slower and much more expensive than building a nuclear baseload.
