Skip is the Technical Director for the Interoperability Clearinghouse, formerly at The MITRE Corporation where his most recent work was in the knowledge management arena as chief software architect and development lead for a secure, web-based distributed collaboration systems. Prior to that he was project lead for the National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA) Interoperable Technology Reification with Objects (NITRO) project which is the 1997 implementer follow-on from the Data Integration and Synergistic Collateral Usage Study (DISCUS) project. Skip is a sought-after speaker, recently giving Keynote Addresses at the 3rd Annual European Conference on Java(TM) and Object Orientation in Denmark and the Visual Basic Insiders' Technical Summit (VBITS99) in Orlando. He has a diverse background in many information systems areas, including computer security, artificial intelligence, and distributed object computing.
