Looks like someone made the editorial decision that this is an article with negative connotations and intentionally skipped mentioning Google/Alphabet in the headline. I only mention it because it's a pattern that I keep noticing.

Just to clarify, Windows Mobile is their old mobile OS, that has been obsolete for about 2 years now, replaced by Windows Phone.
However, that is not pertinent here, since the OS that runs on Surface is Windows 8.
BTW, are we still calling it Surface, or is it $urface now?
