Amen to Ecco shoes, I haven't worn anything else but Eccos for the last 7 years. I always keep at least two pairs and try alternate between pairs every day, this gives the other pair time to rest and get completely dry.
With a new insole and perhaps new laces these shoes last for years and are extremely comfortable.
