Comment Reciprocal Source License (Score 1, Interesting) 5

I have recently created a license inspired by my Naitve-American culture. The Reciprocal Source License. It is partyly inspired by the GPL and the Open-Source license. In my culture we believe you take only what you need, what you take you give back. IHere is the description

Gives you the right to copy, modify, distribute license for free for students or small companies. Students for educational purposes only. Or small companies with net revenue under 1M. There are more restrictions on larger for profit entities as follows: Larger than small companies who modify the code, must contribute their modification to the repository like the Open-Source license. Or contribute an equal amount of code (doesn’t have to be their modification) to the codebase (they can do this over a period of time too, and they can do this via contributorss to the github). Companies can also choose to pay by financial value. They can pay what the ReciprocalSource software contributed to their bottom line, on say a yearly basis. They should make an honest assessment, no external audit is necessary, just be honest. This money will be used to pay hard-working contributors to the project.

It has some parts that are for payment. This is ipartly nspired by my tribe's (South America's Inka) belieif in economic systems. Any suggestions or comments would be welcome.

Nuclear power is not on par with renewable energy. There's radioactive nuclear waste. Although I agree that to meet energy demands nuclear power is more efficient to produce than renewable so I get it. Too bad Germany mentioned France. They should just say we accept nuclear power because its more efficient.

Comment The solution is paid subscriptions and micropaymen (Score 1) 60

The solution is paid subscriptions and micropayments. If we can pay for subscriptions to not get advertising we can solve this problem. We would also need micropayments for say a .$08/week subscription. Their should be a law that requires social media co's to offer advertising-free(tracking-free) subscriptions. The government should also create a microcredits system to make paying for these subscriptions affordable since no-one else has made a micro-payments system.

Comment Not necessarily a barriers to entry problem (Score 1) 31

Having 2 competitors is not just a barriers to entry problem. Yes, they don't finance startups that compete against behemoths and that is a barrier to entry. But they also don't finance startups that are too similar to an existing company. Its also a tech problem. In tech every company has to be totally different that can become a billion dollar company.
