I've had mine almost 24 hours and have not missed the touch screen at all. The clickable scroll wheel is very intuitive and the UI is quite cleverly designed to take good advantage of it.

You can dial a custom number without the keyboard -- there's a button that pops up an onscreen keypad, which you move around in with the wheel. It's not too fast, but it works. And anyway, flipping open the screen takes one second and is so fun to do that I don't mind in the least :-)

Besides, this is the 21st century. Weren't we supposed to stop having to type raw phone numbers by now? A raw phone number is kind of like a raw IP address.
