Google, Microsoft and Yahoo are all US-based companies.
If any organization were to peak a bit inside their very neatly arranged databases and just have a wee visit to a couple of ISPs, they'd have the real "you" - regardless of your nationality.
I mean, just take MSN contacts.
"Ok, this guy knows her and him, and she knows this gang and this dude. Hmm, and this guy knew her 5 years ago - but they're not keeping contact any longer."
If you include e-mail and other browsing - you could find out more about you than you know about yourself.
Oh well.
As long as you change your nicks your little boss won't be able to find your porn nick in a Google search for your work nick. And, as far as I understood, this is the new 'feature' that's discussed?
Hm, it would be funny if the passwords people used were searchable though - they are probably a much better identifier than the nick people use.
