Comment Saves $4 Billion, probably not... (Score 0) 943

Really? Paper money seems cheaper than metal money, lighter, easier to store.... Want to carry around $10 in $1 bills or coins? Coins are too heavy. I see a lot of cost to switch also... Usually, with the government, do just the opposite and that is the answer. So instead, they should be getting rid of a coin (pennies) not adding one. btw, we have a $1 coin and it is not popular for reasons I mention above.

I agree that someone should check them out. But they shouldn't be in the paper. In fact, anybody from Greece that has any money would be a fool not to have a Swiss account. Hey, why do I always get a score of zero on everything I post. Some rogue moderator gave me bad karma. I don't think I even said anything offensive, mostly just jokes!

Just because they have a Swiss account does not mean they are tax evaders. Who can blame them for wanting to keep some of their money in a Swiss account when their own country is so jacked up. And if they do it legally there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. So publishing a list like that is rather slanderous and a total invasion of someones privacy.

There are both costs and benefits to this. Now they cannot work locally at all whenever the internet is down, say they lose a router or something, then they have nothing. Also, an hour per day wasted booting up? I question that... just don't reboot every day if that is the case. However, there is a big saving not mentioned. Previously, they would have occasionally lost a PC. This would require reconfiguring a new PC and it doesn't matter how you ghost drive it or have backups, it still is a huge productivity loss as the person reconnects to printers, outside services with encryption, etc.
