Microsoft did something very similar a little over 5 years ago. May 11, 2021, early afternoon, a forceed update updated my Outlook aaaaand replies just open up as blank email. Had to use work arounds to frantically notify all my clients (who are also heavy Outlook users). Not a fun day! Why don't you check these things before pushing updates? Are your users just a joke to you??

Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2019 here. I must be missing something. When I go to 'Optimize' my SSD Windows says it's 'Trimming' NOT 'Defragmenting'(?) I've never seen my OS defragment my SSD. Trimming is useful in preventing the SSD from having to perform extra erase functions on cells before performing a write function. Was this a bug introduced in a new version of Windows 10?

The only direct line I could find about the benefits/consequences of 'force closing' on Apple's site is just them saying, "You should force an app to close only if it’s unresponsive." - https://support.apple.com/en-u... Until there is actual test evidence one way or another, I will continue to do what I do. If I know I won't be using an app again for the foreseeable future (days+), it's getting closed.

IT peps regularly have to take on the roles of administering anything that uses electricity. audio/video, security (doors and cameras), telecom, you name it. "If it powers on then the IT guys should automatically be masters at using it, right?" It's hard enough being just the desktop/systems/network engineer, as that job usually ropes in everything from IT purchasing manager, to software engineer, to web dev.
