I know if this was my family member,i would be utterly devastated. Sure, incarceration,counseling or whatever is decided for consequences is important, but wow. Talk about a dark secret.

Once men turned their thinking over to machines in the hope that this would set them free. But that only permitted other men with machines to enslave them. Reverend Mother Gaius Helen Mohiam Sometimes I imagine myself in a world filled with people. Fuck facial recognition. Odd to love technology that produces facial recognition software, but hate the world in which it is perceived by many to be needed.

Look, shit head, if you want to have that attitude, then wear a big wrist band that says "DO NOT PROVIDE ME WITH MEDICAL CARE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES". Add something about religious beliefs or some such nonsense so that when you get in an accident/get seriously sick/have a heart attack/whatever, you aren't forced into participating in the health care system to which you do not want to contribute.

The difference here between health care and auto insurance is that you can opt out of owning a vehicle and driving and not increase the cost for the rest of us. You can't opt out of ever getting sick or injured or otherwise needing medical attention for your entire lifetime. Society generally will not allow you to bleed to death on the side of the road just because you refused to pay for health insurance (or pay the fine/tax imposed by the new law). So whether you like it or not, you *are* participating in the health care system, and you *are* being a selfish asshole for refusing to acknowledge that.

And irony of ironies, getting yourself thrown in prison for refusing to pay for health care (or aforementioned fine/tax) provides you with a government-paid health care plan.

Really ??? Look shithead!? Listen stupid fucking troll, some of us must pay out the ass for medical insurance, only to be denied coverage due to "pre existing" condition. The whole fucking thing is rigged. Now, not only am I required to pay for this so called insurance, my medical bills are also my responsibility. I get it, for a lot of people this is a good thing...yay insurance coverage!! What good does it do me? None!!! Seems to me a way for some fucking company to profit from my labor giving me nothing in return. So i no longer pay for insurance. Seems to save me some of my hard earned money.

A group of aviation archaeologists will use underwater robots along with submersibles and sonar to search for Amelia Earhart's plane. The International Group for Historic Aircraft Recovery will search this July for the aircraft, which went down 75 years ago. "If there's wreckage there that can be recovered, we need to know what it is, how big it is, what it looks like, and what it's made of so we can prepare a recovery expedition that has equipment to raise whatever's there," said Richard Gillespie, the group's executive director.
Also explained are how this is being paid for and what FedEx did to help."

I don't really understand the need to put one paragraph of story per page, its just freaking annoying. I didn't realize how far down the GM road we have come. OK, I understand corn is being GM'd and by logical extension things that eat corn, but grass? I really hope technology improvements allow time travel real quick like...I'd love to relocate to a period in time BEFORE we completely fuck this planet up

Last week President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, after months of denials, admitted that the worm had penetrated Iran's nuclear sites, but he said it was detected and controlled. The second part of that claim, experts say, doesn't ring true. Owners of several security sites have discovered huge bumps in traffic from Iran, as the country tries to deal with Stuxnet. 'Our traffic from Iran has really spiked,' said a corporate officer who asked that neither he nor his company be named. 'Iran now represents 14.9 percent of total traffic, surpassing the United States with a total of 12.1 percent.'"
