Journal after5's Journal: Morning Constitutional 4

Last night I got myself a healthy five hours of sleep. Who am I kidding? I need 8 just to function somewhat normally, but this trip has made me somewhat of a sleep deprived individual.

Follow that with a cold bath (not shower) and I'm ready to attack the world all by 7.20. Get some decent breakfast in me (eggs, ham, potato, cereal, yogurt, banana, juice) and I was all set to wait for my 1pm class.

Yes, that's right, I'm the sick person who gets up at 6.30 for their 1pm class.

So I took a morning walk and met quite a few lovely british folk that are going to take care of me here at oxford.

Just a few words about the grounds: GORGEOUS! I'll work on pictures (I know I always say that)

My room is smaller than everyone else's, but it still is a good 15'x8'. I'm quite happy with the view. Although a 300lb Nickolai is living above me, and when elephants dance...

We have baths, not showers, this is going to be a long summer.

Okay, much more exploring to do, I'll update accordingly. Bye everyone!

  • I'm glad you got to Oxford safely. Good luck with all the papers. And to the person that gave you a B because you took extra effort to take your own pictures and write a detailed description of every place I will have him offed for you. But he has to give you an A first, then I will hurt him. I'm not exactly sure I want to comment on your elephant dancing comment...but I will. That made me laugh! Gave my tummy a little tickle. Highly appreciative at 0745. And another thing, you are a dork! I understand that you are in a foreign country and want to take in everything that you can, but for the love of God sleep at least until 0900 or 1000 if your class doesn't start until 1300. You need your sleep. Trust me! Well I love you and be nice to the Brits.
  • If it makes you feel any better I had to wake up at 5:45 to take my sister to meet her band group at 6:10 (they were leaving for leadership camp). At least you got to explore the beautiful school grounds! What are the classrooms like? Do you have a bird living outside your window that likes to sing at 2AM? Hmmm... maybe that only happens at Tech.

Put your best foot forward. Or just call in and say you're sick.

Working...
