Journal after5's Journal: When In Rome... 6

All roads lead to Rome.

No rubicon was crossed, but i have arrived in rome. Greeted by our "four star" hotel that has no A/C, no telephones, tv's, or power outlets in the rooms. And let us not forget the tiny rooms that make woodies (my old dorm) look like a palace.

I would really like to see an itemized price list for this trip. I really would.

Saw the colliseum today. I was amazed. It's actually smaller than how i pictured it, but it is insanely impressive.

Saw michaelangelo's david whilst in firenza, that was AMAZING! You just keep waiting for him to say "shift over, i'm outta here" and walk out. Well, probably in italian, but still. He's older than the "new world" and looks like he was carved yesterday.

Well, i'm outta here, i'll see you guys later.

Ciao

  • aren't you just so special for being able to see all this super cool stuff that ppl like ms. bramblett made us learn about. don't forget to look out for the scarlet pimpernel when in france. i'm glad you are doing well, having fun and getting cultured. talk to you later.
  • yeah...so woody's is a palace compared to my room now and the room you're going to be living for the fall. I have just enough room to spin around in my chair...you might want to try to move in with one and a half vans instead of two this time...
  • I would just like to say how proud I am of you with all the Disney references. You make me want to shed a little tear. That all my constant infiltration of your brain with Disney has paid off. Me likey! Love you!
  • Rome was your second to last city... are you sad the heavy travelling portion is almost over? I'm sure Paris and Worcester College will be just as exciting as all of the other places you have been to so far (in their own way, of course). Besides, you get to take a train to France :) And one more thing, just don't forget to look the correct way before crossing the street once you get to Oxford! Have an amazing time, we miss you.
