Journal after5's Journal: Firenza (How the heck does Firenza == Florence?) 2
I figure since I always talk about money I'd have a nice creative icon for this entry.
But I'm not here to talk about money. I'm here to talk about how insanely lucky I am.
I'm travelling to all these famous cities and seeing things that to me have only existed in books and the internet. Tomorrow I will probably see the real david by michaelangelo. I saw a replica whilst in Moscow, but this time, oh yes, the real thing I shall see.
Saw Vivaldi's "Four Seasons" last night in Venice (oh venice...). Truly an amazing performance. I used my digicam to record the whole thing, surreptitiously of course. The things this geek does for simple memories.
(Taken 1500 pictures thus far, I definitely will have to do some sorting out and make a "best of" collection to fit on one CD. The guys and I are probably going to trade CDs when we get back. Provided I can get my burner working.
In short, I just wanted to say thank you to all of you who made this possible. My parents and siblings for the emotional/financial support. Friends for wanting me gone for the summer and out of their hair, and everyone else out there (relatives and just various persons that I'm probably not aware of). Thank you all for visiting
Just one request.
Leave comments! They don't have to be long, ask some questions, It's fun coming back and reading them. Or if an open forum is not your thing, send some mail to after5@mindspring.com.
Cheers!

Crazy cities names and their weird translations... how do they expect us to keep everything straight? Don't you feel so much smarter now that you know them though? It's just one more thing to add to your collection of random knowledge.
I was wondering what you thought of the radio stations in Italy... what do people listen to over there right now? Have you tried any italian coffee? How's the weather? Have you taken any trains? (trains are cool!) What has been your favorite concert/performance you have seen so far? Have you eaten any pesto?
I think I'll save some of my other questions for later posts. Enjoy your time in Italy!
