Journal after5's Journal: Irony 9

The funny thing is, I keep posting, no one is responding. It's almost disenchanting.

But I'm having fun, so I'm going to keep updating.

Alas, this is another pictoral update. It has been requested that I show you my particular room, so I created yet another webpage with shots of my room, and me studying in said room.

As always please leave any comments you feel necessary. I'm leaving tomorrow afternoon to catch a flight to Ireland. John, Ryan, Aneet, and I are going to hang out in Dublin, then hire a car and drive around the countryside. At least that's the plan. Either way we're definitely going to Ireland. :)

For the week after I had hoped to go to Liverpool, but no one appears to be available to travel with me, I'm still looking though. I want an adventure.

On a side note, I got back a pop quiz in my Ethics class, and it is now on the cooler, or fridge. Whatever. Yes, that's right, perfect score. I'm learnin' something afterall. Hopefully this trend shall continue.

  • Please don't feel disenchanted. I don't even know what that word means but it sounds bad so don't be it. I think it means not fairy-tale-like, which if something is not fairy-tale-like then that is bad. I respond to you when I think of something clever to say and since you know how clever I am, you understand my amount of posting. I do miss you. Lots and lots. I am glad you are having fun. I am excited for you on your trip to Ireland. You get to visit part of our heritage. By the way, in case you were wondering, our family is from Monaghan, which is in northern Ireland. But don't go there because there is a lot of violence. I don't want to have to worry about. Trying to figure out what to wear everyday for work is worry enough for me. You need to make a flyer for an excursion (oh yes, I typed excursion, I even know what that means! ;) ) to Liverpool. Maybe someone else who wants to go to Liverpool will see your flier and join you. Just a thought. I like your guitar. It is muy bonita. Your room looks inviting and spacious. Spacious for one person at least. Glad you got your own room so that your roommate won't get disgusted with your drooling. Well baby brother, I miss you and love you bunches.
  • Well, I'm glad you are enjoying your room. I really must say that my new guitar is quite a handsome instrument. I am pleased/saddened to say that I got another body today. But I will not discuss details, only that it wasn't bloody and I had a chance to be on the news. Miss ya' mucho!
  • I type my fingers to the bone, I rack my brain for clever things to say, and I still say spend the money and enjoy the opportunity....by the way, I just realized somehow I messed up and am replying as Lisa...this is the Papa..... Anyway, we really enjoy your pictures, and of course those with you in them, and we really enjoy you musings, and we really enjoy providing money for you to have fun, and we really are proud of you to have this opportunity, and we really are jealous that we aren't there to enjoy the opportunity, and we really are want you to continue your journal, and we really want you to further document your travels when you get home, and we really want to view all 2000+ pictures, and we really love you..... The Papa
  • What, you expect all of us to respond immediately? And yes, your room looks cozy, and messy; and your smile looks like Papa's; and what the Heck is the Confederate flag doing in your room...well, it must be confederate because it ain't the American one that I spent 29 years in service thereof...and are you really going to bring it back and wave it at the local neighbors of which you know who???? Don't we have enough Brits in the Fleet St???? By the way, have you been to Fleet St in London? It is a noted publishing center for London.

Enjoy Ireland and if you have enough time, a tour to the south of the Island would be a nice drive...and that is where they have some nice scenery....don't go North!....or take a hop to Shannon...see that area as well. Once upon a time we planned on driving from Dublin south around the tip of the Island and ending up in Shannon, then home. We still want to do this trip so you are our advance scout...take pictures, take notes, and such...

Love that guitar...will there be enough room for both your guitars in your room????

And love that baby boy...he is sooo cute...just like his Papa....

    Love,

    The Papa
    • Souvineers come in many forms, I just happened to chose a guitar and a flag. Albeit the enemy flag, but hey, years from now I can claim I won it in a pub fight or something.

Haven't been to Fleet Street london as of yet. Not entirely sure how that will all pan out, but it would have been fun.

As for Ireland...i'll explain in due course.
  • Your room looks comfortable, and quite spacious. I'm curious about what you have posted on the bulletin board... And by the way, I wouldn't mind going to Liverpool next weekend, I'll meet you there? Oh yeah, I have finals coming up soon, nevermind... Well, enjoy your last few weeks of travelling and exploring. I miss you!
