No surprise that having more income leads to better outcomes. As someone who had been homeless for four years between 2001 and 2005, I can attest to that. However, as necessary as UBI is, I don't think it is in itself sufficient. People need in addition, IMHO, support networks. Something like a free software life planner that could function like a GPS, but for one's entire life. Since going homeless, I have put a lot of effort into building this virtual secondary social safety network. Because it costs next to nothing per capita, it should appease the right, and because it offers a social safety network, it should appease the left. Due to being free software, it possesses the multiplicative power of free software. It there enjoys infinite replication, an anti-rivalrous nature, and synergy. So for instance, people can crowd-source the application logic. This project has been featured on Slashdot in the past, back in 2013, but a lot of really great technical progress has taken place since then.
