Journal adewolf's Journal: Looking for work 1
Well I have been looking for work (Unix/Linux Administration) here in San Diego since June 2008 with no success. The usual methods (Monster, Dice, Temp agencies, head hunters...etc) do not work and I took a seminar here that described how to get around the "gatekeepers" (HR, receptionists, applications...etc) at companies. So now I am researching the companies I am interested in and I hope to be doing face to face marketing of myself in the next week. I am not used to doing job searches this way and it's out of my comfort zone, but I think it's a good thing. We'll see how it goes.

I have been out of work since December 2008 and I think you know how (more than me) much it sucks.
So having run out stuff to do this week I am doing some youtube music vids.
BTW have you considered moving for a job? I can't for family reasons - another job in the paper today I could get but too far away to happen.
