I run a busy brewpub in a small town This is really just annoying. We get 5-10 calls a day from google. We didnâ(TM)t ask google to add an âoeorder onlineâ button to our business page. I have to ask into the void to simply turn it off. If someone clicks âoeorder onlineâ google hands off to some third party that actually calls my land line because I havenâ(TM)t set up an âoeonline ordering partnerâ Now my staff has to explain to some Karen that we donâ(TM)t do business that way. Usually when we are busy and to the detriment of customers who are actually in my building We choose not to sell through any delivery service. We donâ(TM)t take reservations. We wonâ(TM)t seat you unless we can provide high quality service. When our kitchen is too busy we simply leave our phone off the hook. We choose to give our best service to the patrons actually in our restaurant. Do I think itâ(TM)s dumb that google doesnâ(TM)t simply let me log into my business account and easily turn it off? Yes.
